David C. Laredo is a founding partner for De
Lay & Laredo, and has served as its managing partner since
1987. Mr. Laredo specialized in representing public agencies
and non-profit agencies, and has extensive experience in municipal
law, water
law, public utilities law and adoptions law.
Mr. Laredo is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles (B.A.
English), Southwestern University
of Law (J.D.), and London School of Economics, Directors Leadership
Institute. He has been admitted to practice before the
following courts: California Supreme Court, United States Court of
Military Appeals, United States Supreme Court, U.S. District
Court, Northern District, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth
Circuit.
Before forming the firm of De Lay & Laredo,
Mr. Laredo served as Deputy County Counsel for the County of
Monterey, and as the Staff Judge Advocate assigned to the Naval
Postgraduate School, U.S. Naval Judge Advocate General Corps.
Mr. Laredo has teaching experience at the following institutions:
Monterey College of Law, Monterey Peninsula College and San Jose
State University, Graduate School of Engineering.
Mr. Laredo has served for many years on the
Monterey Credit Union Board of Directors, the Kinship Center Board
of Directors, Scoutmaster for B.S.A. Troop 90 (Pacific Grove, CA)
and on the Board of Directors for the Monterey Bay Area Council of
the Boy Scouts of America.
Mr. Laredo has published the following articles:
